IXEOS by Jennings Wright

The McClellands are enjoying a lazy summer vacation at the beach when they are lured from our world into Ixeos, an alternate Earth. Finding themselves lost in a maze of tunnels under Paris and surrounded by strangers, they discover that they have been brought to Ixeos for one purpose:  to take the planet back from humanoid aliens who have claimed it. With the aid of the tunnels and a mysterious man named Landon, the teens travel the world seeking the key that will allow them to free Darian, the long-imprisoned rebel leader.

The aliens aren’t the only problem on Ixeos — the McClellands have to deal with brutal gangs, desperate junkies, and a world without power, where all the technology is owned by the aliens, and where most of the population has been killed or enslaved.

The worst part? There’s no way home.

Author Bio:

Born and raised in Rockledge, Florida, Jennings spent her early years reading anything she could get her hands on, when she wasn’t spending time in and on the water. She won a prize in the 6th grade for her science fiction stories.

Jennings attended the University of the South and the University of Tampa, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science, and almost enough credits for B.A.s in both English and History. She spent time over the years doing various kinds of script doctoring, business writing, editing, and teaching writing, but mostly having and raising her family, homeschooling her children, owning and running a business with her husband, and starting a non-profit to Uganda.

Thanks to a crazy idea called NaNoWriMo Jennings got back into creative writing in 2011 and hasn’t stopped since. She’s written four novels and a screenplay in less than a year, with more ideas on the drawing board. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, also a writer, and two children, and travels extensively

The Mirror of the Moon by Travis Simmons

With the death of one of the companions, Grace must answer for the secrets she’s kept. The path before them is ever lengthening in their quest for Amber. There are changes they all must face, and when Joya enters her trials of sorcery, danger lurks around every corner. The power within Angelica and Jovian is strengthening and with it comes confusion. What are they? It is painfully obvious nothing like them has ever existed before. Why is it at times they seem more one person than two separate people? With all the mystery surrounding their latent power, Angelica stumbles upon a passage in a book of sorcery indicating she is evil. Could she be the Mask prophecy speaks of? Is she destined to turn against her own flesh? To make matters worse, the Well of Wyrding (a giant well that controls all sorcery) has been breached and wyrd itself is spiraling into chaos.

Author Bio:

Hey everyone,
I’m so sorry for sending another email, but I just realized that the bio is the same as the book info.  This is what happens when I teach someone else to do this and don’t check their work.  Below is the bio for Travis Simmons.
I have always been a do-it-yourselfer. I haven’t had any formal education on writing, and I haven’t been raised around writer types. For that matter, I wasn’t even encouraged to read when I was a kid, even though plenty of people in my family read. When I was a teenager, I discovered Cliff’s Notes on Mythology, and it sparked something in me. It was like a floodgate had been opened, and all of these stories started rushing in. I would get ideas at random times, and I would jot them down. I have a pretty big file system of everything I have ever written. Someday I will get to them and put them all into electronic files. There is some good material in there, but there are a lot of bad stories too.
I started writing when I was thirteen or fourteen. At an early age I was already writing books of Saracin (the world The Bonds of Blood takes place in). The first book I wrote of that place was “The Calling of the Two” (not yet released). While I was writing that, I kept thinking of these characters Jovian and Angelica. I knew they had a part to play in the storyline, but they weren’t going to be in the same series. For that matter, they weren’t even going to be in the same age. As I finished the first draft of “The Calling of the Two” I went on to write the first book of Angelica and Jovian’s story. At that time it was The Mirror of the Moon. Later an editor told me it was so massive that I should make the one volume into two, and so The Bonds of Blood was born, and The Revenant Wyrd Saga went from a planned three to six.
That story has taken many forms until now, and I am sure if I didn’t declare that it was “done” it could continue to transform.

The Sassy Seven Naughty Sleepover

So this passed weekend I went to The Sassy Seven Authors Naughty Sleepover in San Antonio,Texas. I can’t even begin to describe how much fun we had. Not only were the seven authors throwing the event there but there were several other in the Erotica genre. It was a very laid back event. You were able to get sooooo much one on one time with each author. They did every thing they could to make this amazing for us.

We got there to sign in and recieved a ton of free stuff. Once we were all signed in then it was time for a little meet the Sassy Seven time. They were awesome. Told about themselves and answered any questions that we had. after that we went to grab dinner and then get ready for the next event. This was the High Heels competition and dance. None of us won but it was still fun. The judges were two of the hottest and sweetest gentlemen ever.

ImageDavid Nieves and Cole Reilly

David later told me that I was in his top three for the heel contest. He was such a sweetheart. ❤

After the contest and a few giveaways the music came on and the dancing began. Ok well the lap dancing that is. They had a contest for the one who gave the best lap dance to the male hosts. My girl Lynn won of course!! Then it was dancing for all and fun was had for a few hours.

Everyone then headed to a club where Desiree Holt was picked up by the DeeJay. That woman has such a way with the men.

The next morning it was breakfast with everyone.  The games began after that. They held a scavenger hunt, a “ball toss”, a pin the ummmm part on the man, a ring toss on the penis and a few others. We opted for the scavenger hunt because we wanted to go see downtown San Antonio and we had a blast. We barely made it back  for the Pink Luncheon. They had several more giveaways and raised a great amount for a breast cancer center. It was then time for the Pure Romance party and the consultant was fantastic. We ran to get a snack before the next event.

Once we got back to the ballroom it was time for the BDSM demonstration. IT WAS AMAZING! We were all on the edge of our seats and couldn’t take our minds off of them. After he was done we got to ask any questions we wanted. That went on for a while because we were all full of them. He liked how interested we were and invited us to ” His Dungeon” after we finished our other event for the night. *squuueee* Of course we all wanted to come. Once the demo was over it was time to head up and get ready for dinner and the Denim and Diamonds event.

Everyone came back all dolled up and sparkly. It looked like a room full of twilight vamps. Everyone was gorgeous though. the dinner was great. It was a Fiesta Dinner. Fajitas and such. Once dinner was done it was time for ” The Dancers”. There were four of them and they were from Dallas LaBare. We had a blast watching them and all the ladies. Some of the reactions were the best. After the dancers were done it was time to head to “The Dungeon”. which again was amazing. We got too see some pretty cool things there.

The next and last morning was a great breakfast and a little more visiting and then goodbyes. Every one was laughing and talking about all of the events of the weekend. It was truly amazing!! I would so recommend this to anyone that loves to read erotica. These ladies know how to have a good time!!!

Thank you to Brenna, Desiree, Regina, Samantha, Allie, Cerise and Nicole( who couldn’t make it)!!! You ladies are amazing and I look forward to seeing you all again very soon. ❤

Heven and Hell #3.5

Where I came from everything is perfect. Everything is beautiful and predictable. Life isn’t measured by days, but by infinite joy that never ends.

But it did.

When I fell in love with a man who was perfectly imperfect.

The price for forbidden affection was steep and my beautiful white wings withered and died around me.

I was fallen. I am fallen.

Years have passed, and I’ve learned the true meaning of time. I’ve learned to build a wall around myself and exist alone. Yet, when he looks at me… the heart beneath my armor trembles.

But I must remember.

I must remember that I might not have anything left to lose, but he certainly does. And risking him is something I won’t do. So I lock my feelings where they belong.

Book Description:

Hot and tantalizing, Giving up the Ghost serves up steamy romance and a vengeful twist that made me shudder. –Trisha Wolfe, author of Fireblood

Rhys Bellamy is the front man for the wildly successful 13 Shades of Red, a band hailing from New Orleans that is just a bit more then they appear. He’s sexy, caustic and on a path of self destruction that has everything to do with the fact that he can speak to the dead. A man hounded by the death of his fiancée, Rhys is a lothario of the highest caliber. His life, his band, and his agony celebrates his lost love, Phaedra, and it has made him a very popular man with the ladies, even if they will never mean anything to him. Too bad Phaedra has never and will never contact him.

When the band’s first US tour meets with some unforeseen management issues, Saffron Richards is brought in to take care of it. A veteran of the business, Saffron knows all about Rhys and his reputation and doesn’t want to become another notch on his belt. Too bad fate has it in for the both of them, and gives them an attraction neither can deny.

But life on the road with an up and coming band has its problems, from bosses to groupies to just plain old flat tires. And Phaedra, who has been watching from the mists and reveling in the misery of her lost lover doesn’t want to see him happy. Being together is harder than it sounds, especially when Phaedra crosses the veils on All Hallows Eve to reignite the love that Saffron has set to ash in Rhys. And Phaedra is not giving him up without a fight. Not because she loves him, but because she doesn’t ever want him to forget.
